Royal Wedding Celebrations to attend in North Yorkshire this weekend
Celebrate Harry and Meghan's special day with the whole family!
There's not long to go now until the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The wedding will take place at midday on Saturday 19th May at St Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle.
To celebrate the Royal Wedding there will be lots of events throughout North Yorkshire to celebrate the occasion. We've put together our top five Royal Wedding Events you should be visiting with the family this weekend.
1. Carlton Towers Royal Wedding Garden Party
In honour of Harry and Meghan's special day, Carlton Towers will be holding a traditional English Garden Party on Saturday 19th May from 10.30am until sunset.
You'll get to watch and listen to the Royal Wedding in the beautiful atmosphere of Carlton Towers. There will be lots of fun things for the kids to enjoy throughout the day including garden games, face painting and a bouncy castle! Plus, there will be live music and a selection of delicious food and beverages to enjoy too.
2. Royal Wedding Celebration at Everything Good Goes in Tadcaster
Come and celebrate the Royal Wedding with the whole family at Everything Good Goes in Tadcaster from 10.30am on Saturday 19th May!
Everything Good Goes will be screening the wedding celebration throughout the day with bunting, balloons, happy hour and much more. Plus, get the kids to take part in their royal wedding egg decorating competition too!
3. York Marriott Royal Wedding Garden Party
Join York Marriott Hotel in York from 11am on Saturday the 19th May where they will be hosting a family friendly, street party celebration of the Royal Wedding.
Hosted in the beautiful gardens of York Marriott Hotel you'll get to watch the Royal Wedding live in their outdoor screening with a special royal picnic with unlimited drinks. There will also be live music, kids crafts, garden games and prizes to be won throughout the day.
4. Vale of York Academy Royal Wedding Community Celebration
The Vale of York Academy will be holding a free Royal Wedding Community Celebration from 10.30am till 2.30pm to celebrate the Royal Wedding and the FA Cup Final Day.
Watch the Royal Wedding Ceremony live whilst the kids enjoy a range of activities including a climbing wall, bouncy castle and face painting. There will also be various of stalls, BBQ, entertainment and a wedding cake bake off competition.
5. Woodthorpe Royal Wedding Street Party
On Saturday 19th May, Woodthorpe will be hosting a Royal Wedding Street Party on Woodthorpe Green from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Bring your friends and family to enjoy a great afternoon of fun to celebrate the Royal Wedding. There will be lots of family fun games, kids crafts, live music and lots of delicious refreshments to enjoy. Plus, there will be prizes for the person with the best royal wedding outfit!
