Call for cheaper parking in York

York's labour party's wants car parking to be cheaper in the city to help traders.

"The economic regeneration of York must be addressed by having cheaper car-parking at selected times."

Those are the thoughts of local Labour Leader David Scott who spoke out at last night's Shadow Executive meeting.

He's told Minster FM traders are suffering, because high charges are keeping shoppers away.
