Ebberston in North Yorkshire is now safe says RAF

Bomb disposal team find no further ordnance.

The RAF's excavation of a Whitley Bomber aircraft in North Yorkshire is now over.

The plane crashed at Ebberston near Scarborough in 1940.

The bomb disposal team have now revealed the area is safe and no further ordnance has been found. 

However a number of aircraft fragments were located and have been passed to local historians.
