Fatal crash at Headley Bar

27 year old pedestrian from York killed

North Yorkshire Police say people travelling too or from the Leeds Festival on Friday may be important witnesses to a fatal collision.

A pedestrian was struck by a blue heavy goods vehicle heading towards Tadcaster on the A659 at Headley Bar, which is just off A64.

A 27 year old man from York suffered serious head injuries and later died at York District Hospital.
