Hearse crashes will lorry on A64
Two men taken to hosiptal
A hearse has collided head-on with an articulated lorry on the A64 at Scampston Bridge near Malton.
Two motorist in the hearse both have leg and hip injuries, with the 29 year old driver from Surrey airlifted to James Cook Hospital and an 80 year old passenger, also from Surrey, taken to Scarborough.
The 54 year old driver of the lorry was from Hummamby and wasn't hurt.
North Yorkshire Police have now revealed the collision happened because the hearse crossed the road's central line as it took a bend on the Scarborough side of Rillington.
They're appealing for witnesses to come forward.
