North Yorkshire fundraiser off to Nepal
A North Yorkshire campaigner for the Gurkhas is getting ready for a trip to Nepal next month.
A North Yorkshire campaigner, who helped improve the lives of ex-Gurkhas, is going half way round the world next month.Leftenant Colonel Keith Ryding's the Chairman of Yorkshire's Gurkha Welfare Trust. They raise over 20 thousand pounds for the former soldiers and their communities every year.
Ryding's paying a visit to Nepal, to see how the thousands of pounds he's raised is being spent.
It'll be a welcome return to the country for the former Leftenant Colonel, after he helped build welfare centres there in the 60s.
