The Premier League has demonstrated its commitment to football outside the top flight by making a one off payment of a million pounds to 68 clubs in the conference.
York City will benefit from £30,000.
The payment has been made to soften the financial blow teams have suffered this season due to unfortunate economic circumstances.
The collapse of Setanta resulted in a loss of income for York City this season of about £80,000.
Alan Alger, speaking on behalf of Blue Square commented "It's generous of the Premier League to recognise the importance of the football pyramid. This helping hand extended to clubs is very welcome."
