A massive financial deficit has come to light for the City of York Council.
It's projected to overspend in it's budget by the end the year by £2.3 million.
It's also believed the massive debt could have an effect on next year's council tax.
Council Leader Andrew Waller says it's because more youngsters are in care than what they accounted for.
The issue will now be considered in an Executive meeting next Tuesday.
