Flood fears for Northallerton

Their a chance of flooding at over two-hundred properties in Northallerton, as the town has no defences.

Now the Environment Agency wants to find out the thought of local residents on a project they're working on.

The Northallerton Flood Alleviation Scheme aims to stop becks being unable to cope with heavy rainfall and surface water causing problems.

After a consultation this afternoon the preferred solution will be drawn-up and officials will apply for funding.
