Festival of Racing in Malton today

The Malton Festival of Racing will take place today (Sunday 16th Septembe)
It gives the public chance to go behind the scenes in some of the North’s biggest yards.
They will be open throughout the morning in Malton and the outlying area and names already confirmed to take part include some of the biggest trainers in the town such as Richard Fahey and John Quinn.
In the afternoon the action will move to Highfield Gallops where we will see the return of the hugely popular jockey’s show jumping in conjunction with the Pony Club.
There will also be a parade of retired racehorses, a dog show, terrier racing, trade stands and much more. All parking for this year’s event will be on Highfield Gallops and shuttle buses will run to the yards in town from here.
