Biker hurt in crash in North Yorkshire

A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries after colliding with a van in Ryedale.
The accident happened on Friday afternoon, on an unclassified road near Buttercrambe and the A166.
At about 3.40pm a group of six motorcycles were travelling on the road when a collision occurred between one of the motorcycles, a blue Yamaha Fazer, and a white Ford Transit flatbed van.
The 55 year old rider is in a critical condition in hospital and police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
Traffic Sergeant Neale Rees, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said:
“We are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything or has any dash-cam footage or information which you feel may be significant.”
