Riverside fire between York and Selby

Fire crews have been dealing with a large blaze next to the River Ouse, between York and Selby.

A large pile of wood caught light at Wheldrake Lane, near Crockey Hill, close to the A19.

Crews from four fire engines arrived at the scene at around 8am on Monday.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is reminding people that fires in the open during the current dry spell is very risky.
