Chris Titley of York Mix reports.
Burglars have struck twice in 24 hours at neighbouring York apartment buildings.
Overnight on Thursday to Friday (18-19 June), more than twenty post boxes belonging to residents were forcibly opened in the communal hallway of flats at Rowntree Wharf.
Police say inquiries are ongoing to establish if anything was taken from within them.
Then, on Friday (19 June), a parcel containing about £95-worth of clothing was taken from the communal area of a block of flats on Palmer Lane.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
“Officers would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could assist their investigation.
In particular, we are keen to speak to anyone who is aware of incidents of parcels being stolen or letterboxes entered in similar circumstances.”
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has information is asked to contact the police.
