Fire crews rescue man trapped by fork lift

Fire crews from Northallerton and Bedale have rescued a man who was trapped under a forklift truck.

The man in his 50s had been getting out of a lorry at Leeming Bar when he slipped and fell. He became trapped by his legs between the two blades of a forklift truck.

After attempts to free  his failed, fire crews and paramedics were called.

Fire fighters from Northallerton and Bedale managed to extract him and he's been taken to hospital with leg injuries.
