A feast of Music at Selby Abbey
There's a wide selection of musical events coming up at the Abbey
Local music lovers will be treated to a feast of music for all tastes in Selby Abbey’s continuing programme of summer concerts over the coming weeks.
Local choir The Escrick Tuesday Singers, under Director Don Pears, perform a selection of music spanning the last 130 years on Saturday 8th July at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10.00 and are available from Selby Abbey Gift Shop or on the door.
The York Light Orchestra present their annual ‘Summer Concert’ on Saturday 15th July at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £7.50 and are available from Selby Abbey Gift Shop or on the door.
The City of Leeds Youth Orchestra, under Director Dougie Scarfe, visit Selby Abbey on Wednesday 19th July at 7.30pm to perform works by Marquez, Lalo and Shostakovich
Tickets are £10, (concessions £5 for over 65s and students and free to school pupils) are available on the door.
The programme of Lunchtime Celebrity Organ Recitals lasting about one hour continues on Tuesdays at 12.30pm until 8th August. Admission is free with a retiring collection.
However the Selby Music Centre concert previously listed for 1st July will not now take place.
