7 Tournament Rugby event held in York

On Saturday the 24th of June York RI RUFC held 7 Tournament for the first time in 40 years. It's taken that long because of the structural changes in the rugby union world which meant moving from friendly to league competition.
York RI RUFC (York Railway Institute Rugby Union Football Club) was founded in 1925 and is based at the York Railway Institute off Queens Street.
This sports club offers the opportunity for young people be involved in their local sports club including rugby football boxing dance and many more activities. Its a great place to come down to, enjoy sports to socialize make friends and to be a part of a team. They also welcome LGBT+ people too.
Dr Alistair Jordan is chairperson of the club. He is a lecturer at York St John University with experience in working with professional and regional athletes. He's also an expert strength and conditioning and performance analysis.
Richard Francis is the Development Coach and club development officer and is currently coaching the girls rugby team under 13s.
Fiona Parr is the coach and chairperson of the women's section of York RI RUFC.
