Leftback Marcus Williams has joined York City on loan until the end of the season from Vanarama National League side Guiseley.
Doncaster-born Williams, 31, has played over 250 games in the Football League for Scunthorpe United, Sheffield United, Peterborough, and Reading.
He joined Guiseley at the start of the 2016-17 season after a spell in the Indian Super League with Kerala Blasters.
Williams could make his first appearance in a City shirt this afternoon when the reserves host Hartlepool United in Central League North at Bootham Crescent (kick-off 1pm).
Also, Defender Connor Brown has now completed a permanent switch to Bootham Crescent after playing four games on loan from Guiseley.
Meanwhile
Teenage winger Vinny Steels has also joined York City after leaving Vanarama National League North rivals Darlington.
Steels, who is still only 16, had been picking up rave reviews for his performances in Darlington's reserves this season.
City manager Martin Gray said:
"I am delighted that Vinny has agreed to join us because he is a really talented young boy with a lot of potential.
A lot of top clubs have shown interest in him over the last six months - but he feels that his future is best served by joining York City."
