York City to host international fixture

York City hosts international football on Friday night when the England Under-18 schoolboys play Scotland at Bootham Crescent (kick-off 7pm).
The fixture is part of the Centenary Shield which involves England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.
England drew their opening game of the competition 0-0 last week against the Republic of Ireland at Luton Town's Kenilworth Road.
Tickets for the game cost just £7 for adults and £3 concessions and are currently on sale in the club shop. Tickets can also be purchased at the turnstile on Friday night.
Group tickets are available in advance priced £35 and provide admission for 20 children and up to four adults. All group enquiries should be made to YCFC Foundation via community@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk or 01904559508.
Since 1904, the English Schools’ FA has been the National Governing Body for Schools’ Football in England, running all national football competitions for schools and districts across the country.
Working with sponsors such as PlayStation, the Premier League and Danone, the ESFA are able to provide many different opportunities for children at all ages to participate in football in England.
