Where are the Balearic Islands?
The Balearic Islands are in the Mediterranean and comprise Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera as well as several smaller islands. They are part of Spain and are popular with a wide variety of holidaymakers from families looking for a peaceful beach holiday, to those who are looking for a break partying and clubbing.
Here's some more information about these amazing islands, courtesy of Jet2holidays.
Holidays in Majorca
Majorca has a whole host of wonders ready to entice you. There’s electric nightlife and a culture- rich capital, lush countryside and towering mountains, as well as friendly resorts and peaceful coves. Everything’s encircled by gorgeous beaches, too. On top of that, you’ll have a huge range of activities to choose from, including theme parks, waterparks and stunning cycling routes.
Holidays in Menorca
Menorca is the most laid-back and traditional of the major Balearic Islands. Compared to its neighbours Majorca and Ibiza, it’s been relatively unchanged by tourism, with resorts balanced by stunning natural beauty, secret beaches and historic architecture. There’s still plenty to do, with two cities and miles of coastline to explore.
Holidays in Ibiza
Glamorous and edgy all at once, Ibiza is a clubber’s heaven, especially 24-hour party places like Ibiza Town and San Antonio. But it’s got its softer side, too – the north of the island is full of secret coves and hills coated in lush, rich-green pine trees.
