York Minster is a living, working cathedral, and they invite everyone to share in their daily life.
Admission is free to York residents with any valid proof of address or York Card, and all tickets are valid for 12 months.

Hidden Minster Tours
Running throughout the week
Has your eye ever been caught by a figure walking high above you, or maybe you noticed a secret door, hidden away in a forgotten corner? If you’ve ever wondered what happens in these hidden spaces, now is your time to find out.
Venture into the magnificent Chapter House Roof, passing by medieval workspaces and breath-taking views; or delve into the chambers beneath the Crypt, and see what treasures can be found.
Available to those aged 18+*, prices start at £5 for York Residents (with a York Card or proof of address), or £15 with annual entry included, book your space now online, or in person at the Minster.

Cinema in the Park
27th - 29th August
After a successful debut in Summer 2018, York Minster are delighted to announce the return of the nation’s favourite open-air cinema – Luna – with a series of new feature-length blockbusters for you to enjoy under the night sky.
The run will begin with the ever-popular Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Tuesday 27 August before Oscar winner Rami Malek’s superstar performance as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody on Wednesday 28 August. The cinema season will end with Mamma Mia 2 on Thursday 29 August.
All films will begin at 8pm and are accompanied by the Luna Bar for refreshments throughout the evening.
