About Flamingo Land Resort, Yorkshire

Flamingo Land Resort is situated between York and the East coast, and this combined theme park, zoo and holiday resort is an ideal destination for a fun-packed family holiday. Through the winter months, the theme park is closed, but the zoo remains open and is home to many exotic species including giraffes, lions, rhinoceros and tigers.

90's Weekend - Friday 26th July - Saturday 27th July

For the 90’s Weekend Flamingo Land welcome the previously sold out VENGABOYS on Friday 26th July, followed by BOYZLIFE on Saturday 27th July.

The 90’s weekender has something for everyone as Westlife’s Brian McFadden and Boy Zone’s Keith Duffy join forces to perform as ‘Boyzlife’. Two key members from two of the 90’s most successful bands perform some of the best-known songs of a generation. They are also proud to welcome back their most popular act in PITP history. The Vengaboys return to Flamingo Land. Absolutely not one to be missed.

The Feeling & The Dunwells As Support - Friday 9th August

Flamingo Land are proud to welcome ‘The Feeling’ to Flamingo Land for a truly feel good night of music. With their hits ‘Fill My Little World’, ‘Sewn’ and ‘Love it when you call’ to name but three this is a must for music fans everywhere.

Rak-Su - Saturday 31st August

For the end of summer finale concert, Flamingo Land are going out in style as they welcome 2017 ‘X Factor Winners’ Rak Su to give us a party to end all parties. With their Latin hits including ‘Dimelo’ ‘Mona Lisa’ and ‘Mamacita’, they’re sure to end our summer of live music in style!

Last year the Vengaboys event SOLD OUT, so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment!

Tickets are only £10 for post 5pm Entry. Alternatively, you can buy a standard full day ticket & enjoy a full day in the theme park and zoo, followed by the concert!

Flamingo Land are proud to bring this year’s best lineup for three fun-filled TOTS Events!

Paw Patrol - Saturday 1st June

Paw Patrol comes to Flamingo Land! Come along and see Skye and Chase from Paw Patrol during Story Time sessions, led by a narrator, at intervals on Saturday 1st June!

The Story Time will take place at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm at our Riverside One area, at no additional charge.

So why not come along and enjoy a tot’s party celebration that includes story telling, singing, dancing and face-painting (£2 per face).

PJ Masks - Saturday 20th July

PJ Masks comes to Flamingo Land! Come along and see Catboy and Luna Girl from PJ Masks during Story Time sessions, led by a narrator, at intervals on Saturday 20th July!

The Story Time will take place at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm at our Riverside One area, at no additional charge.

Thrilling Theme Park

If you are looking for white knuckle thrills, there is a sensational collection of extreme rides, including roller coaster Hero that puts visitors in a superhero flying position before swooping them around a track. There is also the Guinness World Record Breaking Mumbo Jumbo, with the steepest drop (2009).

In addition, there is a great choice of junior and family rides. All the attractions in Dino-Stone Park have a dinosaur theme. Soar 45 metres into the air on the Pterodactyl swing, spin on the family coaster Twistosaurus and pedal on Cyclosaur. See animatronic dinosaurs, life-size dino skeletons and search for dinosaur bones in the Dino Dig sand.

UK's Most Popular Zoo

You will quickly discover what makes Flamingo Land the UK’s most visited zoo (Source: Visit England 2014) and Best Animal Day Out (Source: Days Out With The Kids, 2018). With over 140 species of reptiles, mammals and birds, including the amazing Penguin Coast, you can enjoy an amazing view of the animal kingdom. A variety of animal feeding times with keeper talks and a sea lion show are included within your admission. For unrestricted views, meander through the Lemur and Wallaby Walkways.

Short Breaks and Holidays

Flamingo Land is an ideal base for a short break or longer holiday, situated between York and the east coast. The Flamingo Land Holiday Village is situated right next to the theme park and offers luxury accommodation from holiday homes to premium lodges. And for guests who want to be at the heart of the action, four self-catering cottages are now available. Featuring two and three bedroom options (one with hot tub), you will find these Riverside Cottages conveniently located alongside the Riverside One entertainment area.

The Mansion House

The Mansion House & Tea Rooms allow guests to step back in time and enjoy traditional English refreshments, lovingly served in elegant surroundings. Evening fine dining is also available for non-residents and resort guests and the venue is also available to hire for parties and corporate events.

Flamingo Land has been granted a licence for civil wedding ceremonies in the Mansion House, which is also situated adjacent to the local village church. A wedding could also incorporate animal interaction, such as a lemur experience or being married on the Penguin Coast decking. Christenings and private parties are also welcome.

Winter Zoo

During Winter, Flamingo Land Zoo is open from 10am until 4pm every day (closed Christmas Day), allowing you to enjoy over 140 species of reptiles, mammals, fish, amphibians and birds. This extends to Children's Planet, Reptile River, Muddy Duck Farm, Treetop Walkway and the aquarium. You also have access to the lemur and wallaby walkthrough enclosures, providing truly unrestricted views and the opportunity for up-close encounters.

Animal lovers of all ages can enjoy keeper talks and a ‘Meet a Creature’ session each day, all included as part of general admission. Simply wait by the meeting point sign located at each of the relevant enclosures, or make your way to the Udzungwa Discovery Centre at the times specified on the park guide.

Muddy Duck Café provides a mouth-watering range of freshly filled baguettes, sandwiches, sweet and savoury pastries, muffins and cakes, complemented by Costa coffee, speciality teas, rich hot chocolate and chilled juices. For those visitors who enjoy a little retail therapy, there is plenty of opportunity for you to indulge at the Zoo Shop, which is packed with a great range of items.

Flamingo Land are always looking for new ways to help you get even more out of your day. With Animal Encounters, you can enjoy a 20-30 minute session that will provide first-hand experience of giraffes, penguins, lemurs, meerkats, birds or sea lions from just £25.
