The York Residents Festival is Back!
This weekend you can enjoy attractions, events and offers across North Yorkshire at a discounted rate with a valid York Card or Student ID.
Check out these 10 places you can visit with the family for free this weekend...
Castle Howard
Enjoy the sights of Castle Howard this weekend for free! Explore the beautiful gardens and woodland walks. For the children, there will be lots of fun to be had at the adventure playground. Plus, the Stable Courtyard will be open too!

York Dungeon
From 12 - 5pm you can explore York Dungeon for free. In this walkthrough experience, you'll get to learn all about York's horrible history and meet some characters along the way!
Energi Trampoline Park
This weekend jump for free at Energi Trampoline Park! Get a free one hour jump at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. There are only limited spaces available and it is on a first served basis. There will also be special offers available across the weekend.
Please note: Energi Trampoline Socks must be worn and can be purchased for £1.
York Minster
This weekend you can enjoy a tower trip up the York Minster for free! On the Saturday, York Minster will be running some fun interactive activities throughout the day. There will be drop-in family sessions to create a Heart Of Yorkshire inspired sun catcher, Object handling sessions and an activity area for young children with books and toys linking to the Minster.

National Centre for Birds of Prey
Come and see the largest collection of Birds of Prey in the North of England at Duncombe Park in Helmsley! They will be flying the birds at 11.30am and 2pm. This is a great day out for the whole family not to be missed!
Clifford's Tower
View the stunning views of the City of York at the top of Clifford's Tower. This is a fantastic experience especially if you haven't been up before! Pre-booking not required.
JORVIK Viking Centre
Take a journey back to the Viking ages and experience the sights, sounds and smells at JORVIK Viking Centre. From 1pm onwards York residents can get free entry. Plus, across the weekend you can also get free access to JORVIK's other attractions including Barley Hall, DIG and Henry VII Experience.

Holgate Windmill
Come and see York's only surviving Windmill! Holgate Windmill is the oldest 5-sailed windmill in the country and is the last remaining windmill in York. This weekend York Residents will be able to get free admission from 11am until 4pm.
Beningbrough Hall
Visit Beningbrough Hall for free and see the Take in the Sounds of Winter: Whispering Space Exhibition. Explore the lesser known gardens and building in the first ever sound trail! This is a great day out that the family will love.
York's Chocolate Story
Join us for five free tours of the attraction at 9am, 9:15am, 9:30am, 9:45am and 10am on both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be 1/3 off additional admissions for York residents throughout the whole weekend. Discover how chocolate made history and played its part in York.
If you like chocolate then you'll love this! Go on a free tour of York's Chocolate Story and discover York's Chocolate History and hows its made! There will be five free tours across the weekend at 9am, 9.15am, 9.3am and 10am. Plus, there will be a 1/3 off additional admissions for York residents.
