Vale of York MP future in the balance

It could be D-Day for Vale of York MP Anne McIntosh, as tonight she faced potential deselection by her own political party.

Sources say relationships between Ms McIntosh and senior members of the local Tory party have broken down, although reasons for the fallout are unknown.

Anne came under scrutiny during the MPs expenses scandal for using taxpayers money to buy mouse poison and mouse traps.
