There are calls for Yorkshire Water to take action over a leak of foul water in York
Holgate Labour Councillor, Kallum Taylor, says that it's taken 9 days of talking and still there has been no action. Now lots of dirty water is flowing around Holgate Methodist Church.

Unsure how many litres of foul water around a church, pre-school, and street it takes to become newsworthy but - if anyone at @YorkPress @theYorkMix @MinsterFM @BBCYork was counting - maybe some exposure of @YorkshireWater's opaque lack of urgency would help. (4/4) pic.twitter.com/aYsBgjI1jX

The council has already agreed to close the road for repairs he says.
"Holgate pre-school use the Church Green for the kids. It's currently saturated with the mess.
The lack of clarity on a fix, and on the decontamination process, is now seriously undermining their efforts to try and plan for a safe re-opening on June 1st."
We have asked Yorkshire Water what is going on and will report back.
They did tweet a reply to Kallum Taylor
Hi Kallum, this really isn't good at all, and we are on this.
I can see a team has been within the last hour, and I'm waiting to receive an update from them to what's occuring.
Once they get back to me I'll let you know
⚠️ 9 days ⚠️ now of dirty foul water flowing around @HolgateChurch, Holgate Pre-School, and onto Murray St. Still no word of a fix from @YorkshireWater. @CityofYork can close the road for out-of-hours repair works but they first need YW to actually ask to do the job.
