Serious collision near Thirsk

The A168 is closed northbound between J49 of the A1 and the B1448 near Thirsk following a collision.
All emergency services are working at the scene in a response being led by North Yorkshire police.
There are two diversion routes available:
- Light vehicles under 7.5 tonnes:

From the A1(M), continue north up the A1(T) for 2.3 miles, until the interchange with the A61. Head east on the A61 for 4 miles and at the Busby Stoop roundabout, continue straight over on the A61 and follow for a further 3 miles. Once at the mini roundabout with the B1448 in Thirsk, take the first exit on the A61 and follow through Thirsk market place and the one-way system. At the mini roundabout with Long Street, turn right (southeast) and continue straight on at the next roundabout onto the A170 for 0.4 miles, to rejoin the A19(T) at the grade-separated roundabout.
- Vehicles over 7.5 tonnes are advised to follow the below diversion route:
From the A1(M) at Dishforth, continue north up the A1(T)/(M) for 28 miles, until the interchange with the A66(M). Travel east on the A66(M)/(T) for a total of 17 miles, until it rejoins the A19(T) at Middlesbrough.
