UPDATE - Woman bailed after a man was racially abused and a dog kicked in York

A man has been racially abused and a dog has been kicked in an incident in York.
Police were called to a report that a female suspect had spat at and assaulted a man and kicked his dog in the jaw.
It's reported to have happened on Hob Moor at about 8.10pm on Tuesday.
The victim was not seriously injured, but left upset by the incident.
It's not clear how the dog is at the moment.
At 3pm (Wednesday) police issued a statement:
North Yorkshire Police officers arrested a 51-year-old woman at an address in York at 2.25pm this afternoon.
She was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, in connection with the incident on Tuesday 9 June 2020.
She was further arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs.
She remains in custody at this time, while police enquiries continue.
At 9.30am Thursday police issued this update:
A woman arrested in connection with an attack on a man and his dog on Hob Moor in York has been released on bail while police enquirees continue.
