Malton’s Monthly Food Market Returns 11th July with Social Distancing Regulations in Place
As lockdown measures begin to lift, Yorkshire’s Food Capital, Malton, will be reinstating its much-loved Monthly Food Market on Saturday 11th July from 9am – 3pm. Delicious local produce and mouth-watering delights will be available from a range of market stalls, including Malton Brewery, YO Bakehouse, Ryan Jepson Cheeses and many more.
With public health and safety front of mind, there will be fewer vendors than usual to ensure social distancing guidelines can be met but visitors can rest assured there will be a huge variety of treats on offer to take home and enjoy.
Government guidelines will be strictly implemented for those shopping at the market to ensure maximum safety for both visitors and vendors. These include access to free hand sanitiser, available at the Market entrance, temporary barriers in place to aid social distancing and contactless payments being made available where possible.
Tom Naylor-Leyland, Director of Visit Malton, commented “We are pleased to be once again welcoming shoppers to our incredible Monthly Food Market to enjoy the outstanding food and drink that Malton has to offer. Our customers can enjoy browsing the market and shopping for their favourite local produce with peace of mind that we are ensuring the safety of visitors and those working at the event.
“For those who are still not able to join us at the Monthly Food Market, a fantastic variety of locally produced food and drink is available to purchase online with contactless delivery via the Malton Delivers website.”
