Seven year olds in York get top marks

Children’s Services leaders in York have today welcomed government figures which show that local schools are continuing to achieve outstanding results in Key Stage 1 assessments.
They're the tests that are given to seven year olds.
The city's results continue to be well ahead of the national average for reading and writing, putting York in the top 6% of authorities in the country.
