For teenagers across North Yorkshire the day has arrived - its GCSE results day.
At Malton School where they passed 70 percent of pupils getting at least 5 grade A to C grades.
They weren't the only ones it has been another record year across the region and at Norton College they've had a bumber year with 80 percent getting at least 5 good GCSE's.
In York at Bootham School 24 pupils gained 10 or more A and A star grades.
Nationally more than 21 percent of students were given an A Star or A. Girls fared better than boys again - although boys fared better overall in maths for the first time since 1997.
However Questions are being asked about whether we need GCSEs at all in future.
Former Chief Inspector of Schools Mike Tomlinson thinks they may have outlived their purpose - with the school leaving age about to be raised to 18.
