A York resident who has been fighting Leukaemia is going to get to live her dream of singing in a tribute to Take That! with the UK’s No1 ‘Take That’ Tribute band.
On Saturday 29th April 2017, at York's Barbican, Rule The World the fantastic 3-piece tribute show to Take That will perform their show in aid of Leeds Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Trust, and will be a special memorable event for a very brave lady from York.
Sue Maule-Farrell has always enjoyed singing, and had dreams of performing on stage with Take That.
Unfortunately 12 years ago Sue’s health took a turn for the worse. She was diagnosed with Leukemia and required a bone marrow transplant.
When the boys from Rule The World heard Sues story they invited her to join them on stage at the Barbican this year and perform the “Lulu” section of Re-Light my fire.
"The bone marrow unit in Leeds holds a very special place in my heart after my life saving transplant in 2009 after battling leukaemia for 12 years, the expertise and care I received from Professor Cook and his team was amazing.
This event gives an opportunity to raise money for more research needed in order to find a cure.
Me singing with the guys will be a bit of a laugh for my family and friends”
The band, Dan Maines, Matt Hall and Gabriel Keogh are highly trained professionals who have been touring Europe for over eight years, and have appeared on BBC1’s The Graham Norton Show alongside the real Take That.
“He sounds like me!!”
was Gary Barlow’s reaction after hearing singer Dan Maines, adding,
“They’re very good these boys!”
Come along to see this full stage show and an accurate portrayal of a Take That concert. Featuring all the biggest hits including 'Never Forget', 'Greatest Day', 'Back For Good', 'Relight My Fire', 'Everything Changes', 'Shine', 'Pray' and many more.
