York Racecourse has confirmed that the combination of a seven race card and Olly Murs has proved so popular that the capacity in both County Stand and Grandstand and Paddock for Saturday 1 July has now been reached.
Consequently, tickets & badges for these areas are no longer available for purchase.
With the exception of limited hospitality places, no more admissions will be sold for these areas, either in advance or on the gates on the day itself.
But fear not Olly fans.
The Course Enclosure (called the Picnic Enclosure by some) in the middle of the racecourse is only open to sales once gates open at 11.15am, so there is still the opportunity to be part of the racing and music by using this area.
There are places available in both the Ebor and Voltigeur Restaurants; these offer the chance for a real treat; including admission, a reserved viewing area for racing (that also offers an elevated, if long distance view of the music stage) as well as gourmet food for the day.
Later in the month at the Music Showcase Weekend, there are two further racing + music events when Jess Glynne will perform after racing on Friday evening 28 July; then All Saints after an afternoon of racing on Saturday 29 July. Whilst both of these dates are also proving popular, there is availability for all areas, County Stand, Grandstand & Paddock and Course Enclosure.
Advance booking remains available for all other racedays at York including the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival in August.
