Main Picture - Danielle Richardson show us the Holy Trinity Church pews where a key scene was filmed.
Gentleman Jack came to a dramatic and romantic end last night on BBC 1.
The story of Anne Lister, a Yorkshire landowner and diarist, ended with scenes filmed at Holy Trinity Church off Goodramgate.
The show has been praised for the way it has portrayed Lesbian relationships.
The scenes shot in York will be a big boost for tourism and already there are signs of visitors on the Gentleman Jack trail.
The church is a hidden gem in the heart of York
A glimpse of the medieval world behind a busy street
Holy Trinity stands in a small, secluded, leafy churchyard, with the Minster towering behind.
It's tucked away behind Goodramgate.
To visit, you pass through an eighteenth-century archway tacked on to buildings that served as artisans' workshops in the fourteenth century.
The church itself is full of character.
The building dates chiefly from the fifteenth century, but has features from its foundation in the twelfth century right up to the nineteenth century.
The box pews, unique in York, are exceptionally fine, and an interesting collection of monuments and memorials paint a picture of life in this busy city throughout the ages.
VIDEO - Danielle Richardson: She is from The Churches Conservation Trust.
It's a national charity protecting historic churches at risk.
They care for over 350 irreplaceable buildings which attract almost 2 million visitors a year.
Daniella says the show will be a big help as donations from visitors are very important and help to keep Holy Trinity going.
"We have seen a real interest in this part of history that has been hidden.
It's another layer of the story of what is already a fascinating building"
These visitors from Devon watched the last episode and then were on the set so to speak the next day.
Another location was Fairfax House, where Duncan Marks is equally excited about the potential to welcome new visitors
Fairfax House in the heart of York
Originally the winter home of Viscount Fairfax and his daughter Anne, Fairfax House’s richly decorated interiors and magnificent stucco ceilings make it is a masterpiece of Georgian design and architecture.
The staircase was featured in one key scene of the TV series.
Fairfax House reveals the domestic interiors in which these Georgians would have walked, the tastes and fashions of the day for architecture, interior decoration, food and furnishings, as well as the customs and habits of York’s wealthy gentry and aristocracy.
It was a place where the winter season could be enjoyed, and with it, all the entertainments and social engagements that this centre for ‘polite society’ had to offer.
VIDEO - Duncan Marks, from York Civic Trust, on the staircase which featured in the series:
"We have had a knock on effect where there are more people coming.
It's good for York showing another side of the city. It's spectacularly Georgian and Regency too.
There are plenty of opportunities to see a different York which is not just Roman and Viking themed"
The new series of Gentleman Jack won't be on our screens until the autumn of next year.
Filming should start again in May.
