Jason Bass signs new deal with York Knights

York City Knights  have announced that utility back and England Students international Jason Bass has signed a new deal for the 2020 season.

Bass, 23, arrived at the Knights last November after playing over 60 games for Coventry Bears, and is a Midlands Academy graduate. 

He has gone on to play 21 games to date as York sit second in the Betfred Championship, scoring seven tries from the wing, centre and fullback positions.

The club said today that his tough and hardworking attitude, as well as his great character, quickly made him a firm favourite with the Knights fans.

“Jason has shown an immense amount of commitment, work ethic and potential in his first year at York. He’s played in numerous positions to a high standard and we believe the best of Jason Bass is still to be seen. 

He’s made a positive impact on and off the field and I’m delighted to re-sign a young player with his potential.”
