Peter Shilton OBE, the former footballer,  has made a generous offter to Tadcaster Albion.

He played as a goalkeeper and currently holds the record for playing more games for the England men's national football team than anyone else,

I only commissioned 125 of these exclusive gold limited edition gloves from my private collection one for every game I played for @England I’m donating a signed pair to help save @TadcasterAlbion ⚽️🧤 pic.twitter.com/nVCcQT5bNp

He's offering a pair of limited edition gold signed gloves to help raise cash.

Tadcaster Albion said:

The @England legend himself @Peter_Shilton  helping to save our club. What a man

Meanwhile as reported last week by Minster FM..

It will soon be 'standing only' at Tadcaster Albion after the club decided to sell its grandstand seats in a bid for survival.

100 seats are up for sale, which the club hopes to sell as a 'job lot'.

we are selling grandstand seats to raise money for our flood recovery fund, we have approx. 100 seats to sell, prefer to go as a job lot, offers please. Looks like we will be bringing back standing to @TadcasterAlbion #floodfund pic.twitter.com/8JdLpS36fp

Last week Tadcaster Albion said the club's future was in doubt, after a series of flooding events, going back several years.

In recent weeks, Storm Ciara caused damage estimated at £40,000 - and that was before the club ground and pitch was flooded again by Storm Dennis.
