Shine Northallerton - CLOSED
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of our Hair and Beauty salon, this will be with immediate effect.
All the other Hair and Beauty salons in Northallerton have united and decided together that this is the right and moral thing to do to keep everyone safe.
We would like to thank all our loyal customers that have supported us over the years, thank you for all your support during this difficult and strange time.

Herbert Todd & Son - SHOWROOMS CLOSED
With effect from 6.30pm 23/03/2020 Herbert Todd & Son have taken the decision that to protect staff and customers we will close our three showrooms in York, Acomb and Harrogate.
To assist our customers we will still be available by phone 9am to 5pm on the usual numbers and via our website. We will be delivering essential products out to our local communities for as long as we are allowed to do so. Our delivery teams will be wearing appropriate PPE but we would ask that you retire to another room while they carry out any installation work.

Natural Knitter Wool Shop will be OPEN BY APPOINTMENT.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday please call or text for your appointment to visit, this means you will have the shop to yourself to browse and shop. Hand sanitiser is available and I will ask everyone to use it before touching anything.

North Yorkshire CC Libraries
After careful consideration of the advice from Government and Public Health England, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close all North Yorkshire managed libraries from 5pm on Monday 23rd March, until further notice.
We are continuing to provide services on line at www.northyorks.gov.uk/digital-library and have made arrangements to extend loan periods for items on loan. No one needs to worry about accruing fines.
We very much hope to be back providing a full service as soon as possible and look forward to welcoming you all again.

Northwood Trail - England's Fairy Sanctuary- CLOSED
Fairy lovers - as instructed by government to close cafes and museums, and as we have both which are an integral part of the Fairy Sanctuary experience we are closed until further notice (hopefully not for long).

RSPCA Chairty Shop Closure
As of today (23/3/20) the charity shops at Selby, Acomb and Goodramgate supporting the York animal home are temporally closed BUT we have animals at the York animal home that will continue to be looked after.

Rodgers of York - CLOSED

Primary Tutoring with Rosanna
In light of the recent announcement about school closures I will be offering the following:
-Continued advice and support. I will be here to help with any questions, school work given or explaining methods of teaching.
-Reusable resources for each year group. Each pack contains fun games and activities that can be fitted around your family life. They are there for ease and designed to be stress-less. I will have to ask for a small charge for these due to the need to buy materials to make them and keep my small business afloat.
Yorkshire Outdoor Shows (3 events) - CANCELLED
Due to the current circumstances with the Coronavirus we have taken the decision to cancel the following shows for 2020:
Yorkshire Game & Country Fair - on 16th & 17th of May at Scampston Parkland Malton
Castle Howard Traction Engine Rally - 27th May
Yorkshire Modified Car Show - 16th of June at Scampston Parkland Malton .
Traders, public campers and ticket holders who have already purchased for the above shows will receive a refund of the monies they have paid. Refunds will be made through the payment method originally used. Many thanks for your support and stay healthy.

Kilnwick Percy Resort - CLOSED
Following recent Government advice relating to non-essential travel to second homes, camp sites and caravan parks we have closed all of our resorts with immediate effect.
We hope to reopen to our owners on 16th April and to holiday makers on 30th April, however this is subject to change given the ongoing and ever changing situation with the Coronavirus.

Great Yorkshire Show 2020 - CANCELLED
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we have taken the sad but sensible decision to cancel the Great Yorkshire Show this year.
As this national crisis escalates day by day, we feel we cannot safely run the Show in 2020. We are extremely sorry to have to announce this news and appreciate that this will disappoint everyone who loves the Show as much as we do. We will continue to passionately support our farmers in whatever way we can, as they work hard producing our food.

Castle Howard - UPDATE
In light of the most recent Government guidance regarding COVID-19, we have taken the decision to close the Castle Howard Gardens and Grounds, Adventure Playground, all takeaway food outlets and toilets from Monday 23rd March, until further notice.
