Chefs support for Nursing Homes & Hospitals
Let me introduce our company, we are My Chefs Direct a chef’s agency working in and around North Yorkshire. During this strange and frankly unprecedented situation the whole country is finding itself in we are offering a reduced priced service and offering up to 90 days to settle invoices with us. My Chefs Direct Ltd will supply Chefs to Nursing Homes and Hospitals until they are no longer required. We will not be charging extra for weekends as some other agencies do.

UPDATE: Latest news from Run For All (23 March 2020)
Like many companies, Run For All is having to review its operations. Once we overcome this virus, and we will, we want our events to become a true celebration of life. It's not until it's taken away, our freedom to participate, to fundraise or to interact that we realise what’s really important. Given the outbreak we the decision has been made that all events that should have taken place in March through to July 2020 will be postponed. Yorkshire ‘Vyking’ Charity Bike Ride Sunday 19th April - Postponed
Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, children’s charity Action Medical Research has made the sensible decision to postpone next month’s ‘Vyking’ bike ride in North Yorkshire.
The inaugural fundraiser was due to start and finish at Ampleforth College on Sunday 19 April.
Saving Tiny Lives Action is the leading UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people.
It currently has over £11 million invested in the work of more than 260 top researchers, working on over 60 projects across the UK.

Colton and surrounding villages
Ye Old Sun Inn, Colton has been converted in a village shop. Selling fruit & vegetables, fresh bread, daily essentials, ready meals and much more.
We are open every day but Monday. Opening times may change so please keep an eye on social media for daily times. We are allowing 2 shoppers in the shop at a time to ensure social distancing. We can deliver hot food to the vulnerable also at certain times.
The Forum Northallerton - UPDATE
Following the PM's statement, no staff will be at the Forum, but working from home. This means the Box Office is temporarily closed.
We will continue to monitor the emails, the email address is: info@forumnorthallerton.org.uk and reply to you as soon as possible.
As you can appreciate we will be restricted to do certain tasks whilst working from home but we will strive to keep you updated via our Website, Social Media, Mailchimp, etc. and announce new dates for certain events as soon as they are confirmed.

Northallerton Carnival - CANCELLED
It is with great sadness, but not unexpected, that this years Carnival has been cancelled.
We will make sure the Phoenix will rise from the ashes and next years will be bigger and better.

Northallerton May Fair - CANCELLED
It is with a heavy heart, that the Northern Section of the Showmen's Guild have today decided to cancel Northallerton Fair.
Under the guidance from the Government on Social Distancing and Mass Gatherings we feel we had no choice but to cancel the event for the safety of the public and also our tenants.
Hopefully the Fair will be back bigger and better next year and we hope to see you all then.

York Pride 2020 - CANCELLED
We have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel York Pride 2020.
This has been a heartbreaking call for us to make after all the work we have already put into this year’s event. However, we would never put the health and well being of our pride-goers, volunteers, artists or traders at risk, or stretch the resources of our emergency services at a time when they are needed more elsewhere. York Pride takes the whole year to plan. We will concentrate all our efforts on delivering you a truly amazing York Pride in 2021.

The woodman inn Bishopthorpe is preparing fresh home made soup and delivering every wednesdsy from 2pm to the elderly in bishopthorpe, free of charge, as announced on our Facebook page 1 week ago.
