Spooky Family Days Out in North Yorkshire

If you and your family are looking for something fun and spooky to do in North Yorkshire this Halloween then look no further. We've put together a few of our favourite spooktacular events happening across North Yorkshire that you're guaranteed to love!
1. York Maze Halloween By Day
If you want some family spooky fun this Halloween then don't forget to head down to York Maze from the 21st October to 1st November.
You will absolutely love all the spooktacular adventures York Maze has to offer this Halloween. The kids will love exploring the haunted maze treasure hunt, hallowtractions, getting a free pumpkin, taking part in all the amazing competitions and much more! This is guaranteed to be a great family fun day out!
But if you're looking for something more spooky don't forget that York Maze offers a terrifyingly and fun Hallowscream at night for the adults too!

2. Castle Howard's Creepy Halloween
From the 21st October - 5th November, Castle Howard will be haunted by a cast of spooky characters and creatures that are guaranteed to thrill the whole family!
Throughout the half term there will be lots of activites including halloween trails, treasure hunts, dressing up competitions and if you're wanting something a little bit scarier you can explore the brand new Burnt Out Wing and find lots of spooky happenings along the way!

3. Flamingo Land at Halloween
There is lots of spooky fun to be had at Flamingo Land this half term. There will be a whole host of themed tricks and treats that the whole family will absolutely love.
Every day at Flamingo Land there will a whole range of activities for the family to enjoy. From the spooky indoor train ride at Mischief Mansion that the kids will love to a Halloween Zoo Trail! Plus, there is still all the usual theme park and zoo fun to enjoy too!

4. Piglets Pumpkin Festival
There will be lots of spooky fun to be had at Piglets Adventure from the 21st October - 5th November at the amazing Pumpkin Festival which includes a free pumpkin for every child!
There will be something for all the family to enjoy at Piglets this October. From exploring the mysterious maze full of hidden ghosts to trick or treat tales plus all the usual farm fun you're garanteed to have a spooktacular time this Halloween.

5. North Yorkshire Moors Railway Halloween Trains
Prepare to be scared when you and your family go aboard the Halloween Train at North Yorkshire Moors Railway this October.
Once aboard the Halloween Train you and your family will come face to face with spooktacular characters including Wendy Witch and Vinnie Vampire. You'll love their ghoulish tales, scary songs and magic on this scarily fun journey!

6. Spilman Farming - Pick Your Own Pumpkins Event
If you're looking for something new and fun to do this Halloween why not head down to Spilman Farming from the 20th - 31st October and and take part in the brand new pick your own Pumpkins event!
The whole family will love picking out their own pumpkins on the farm and taking part in a whole host of different events including: face painting, pumpkin carving, spooky walks and much more! If you're wanting lots of family fun this Halloween be sure to check out this incredible event!

7. York Shockolate Story
York Chocolate Story will be totally transformed this halloween and will change into York's SHOCKlate Story and full of spooky activities that the whole family will love.
You and your family will be able to explore York Shocklate Story unlike ever before. You'' learn all about their poisonous past, making your own spooky lollies and take part in the wheel of misfortune. What could be more terrifying than that?

8. Riverford Pumpkin Day
If you're after some family Halloween fun this year then get wellied-up and head to Riverford Farm in Northallerton for their annual Pumpkin Day on Saturday 28th October.
You and your family will love this autumnal event! From live music and cookery demos to worm digging, face painting and pumpkin carving competitions that the whole family will enjoy! Tickets are just £3 and every child gets a free pumpkin! What could be better than that?
