Great things to do this Bank Holiday Weekend

The Bank Holiday Weekend is almost here and there is so much fun to be had across North Yorkshire!
Here are some exciting things happening across the weekend...
The York Bid Micklegate Soapbox Challenge
The Micklegate Soapbox Challenge is back bigger and better than ever this Bank Holiday Monday. Watch and cheer as homemade soapbox carts race down Micklegate all in aid of charity. Plus, there will be lots of other fun activities to do including live entertainment, funfair attractions and much more!
Sherburn in Elmet Craft and Food Festival
Across the Bank Holiday Weekend Sherburn in Elmet will be holding a three day Craft and Food Festival. There will be over 100 craft and food stalls, live entertainment, children's activities and even a funfair! This is a great weekend of fun that you do not want to miss!
Outdoor Cinema at Carlton Towers
Here is a fantastic chance to see the well-loved film The Greatest Showman underneath the stars! Carlton Towers will be screening the film on Saturday 25th August in their outdoor cinema. There will be a hog roast, pizza ice-cream as well as a bar available on the night too.
Fulford Show
Come along to the Fulford Show on Bank Holiday Monday full of great family fun to help raise money for charity! Throughout the day there will be lots of fun to be had throughout the day including a beer tent, minature railway, tug of war challenge, craft and food activities and much more.
Marathon Du Malton
Come along to the Malton Du Medoc this Saturday – a 10k race with gourmet food and drink stops along the way. Whilst tickets to take part in the race have now sold out you can still show your support on the day by cheering them all on! There will be lots of entertainment throughout the day including street food, live music and children’s entertainment. This is a fantastic day of fun not to be missed!
Thornton-Le-Dale Summer Fayre
Thornton Le Dale will be full of great family fun this weekend! The Thornton Le-Dale Summer Fayre will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday where there will be craft stalls, kids activities, Mad Hatters tea party cake stall and more. Plus, the annual Scarecrow Festival is back for 2018 and there will be 60 scarecrows to find across the Bank Holiday!
Party in the Carpark at Selby Superbowl
Come and join in with the fun at Party in the Carpark at Selby Superbowl this Sunday to help support Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Selby Against Loneliness and Isolation. This is going to be a fantastic day of family fun with live music, BBQ, Funfair, Lazer Zone games and more!
