Christmas Events in North Yorkshire

There are so many festive family events happening across North Yorkshire to get you into the Christmas Spirit!

Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland
Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland at York Designer Outlet is open until the 6th of January. Enjoy skating around the North of England’s largest outdoor ice rink with your friends and family. Plus, as well as ice skating there is so much to do including the funfair full of fantastic rides, Santa's Grotto and Papa Hütte Cafe!
Castle Howard
Christmas at Castle Howard is a magical day out for the whole family! Explore the beautifully decorated rooms in the house and see the fantastic 25ft Christmas tree with over 3,000 baubles! For the little ones, there will be a fun indoor Children’s trail to explore and the chance to visit Santa too! Open until the 31st December.
Stockeld Park
Stockeld Park is now open daily for their Christmas Adventure! There are lots of fantastic festive activities suitable for children of all ages including the illuminated maze, outdoor covered ice rink and the illuminated sparkling lights and sculptures in the enchanted forest. Plus, until Christmas Eve you can visit Santa in his Grotto!
York Chocolate Story
Come along to Santa’s Sweet Adventure at York Chocolate Story until the 24th December. You’ll get to meet Santa on a special themed tour and help him save Christmas. There will be fun Christmas games, festive chocolate making activities and much more!
Flamingo Land
Flamingo Land will be joined by Santa this Christmas! Join Santa for storytime at Peter Rabbit's House. Plus, you'll receive a gift too! Santa will be visiting every weekend until Sunday 16th December and every day from Monday 17th December until Christmas Eve.
Northallerton Pole
Come and visit Santa in his Toy Workshop every weekend until the 23rd December at Northallerton Pole in Central Arcade (just off the High Street). You'll get to meet Santa and get a gift to take home. Plus, make some reindeer food to put out on Christmas Eve!
Piglets Adventure Farm
Piglets Adventure Farm’s Magical Sleigh Rides to Santa’s Woodland Village are now open everyday until the 24th December. You’ll get to meet Santa and share your wishes and dreams with him - he’ll even give you the magic key to his Toy Shop to find your perfect gift. After seeing Santa you can enjoy story time with the elves and write a Christmas wish and put it on the wishing tree. Plus, for the grown-ups, there will be a free mince pie and mulled drink at Santa’s Tepee!
Murton Park
Santa and his elves will be coming to Murton Park every weekend until the 23rd of December! There will be a whole host of festive activities including an early present from Santa on the Derwent Valley Light Railway, a guided tour of Santa’s village and a visit to Santa’s House. Plus, adults will get the chance to have a sherry (or orange juice) and mince pie in the Farmhouse Kitchen and Cafe!
