Plane crash lands near York

Emergency services were called to reports of an aircraft crash landing in a field of carrots near York on Sunday afternoon.
Police and fire crews were called out after 3pm to a field in Dunnington.
A spokesperson for Acomb Fire Station:
“Crews from Acomb, Huntington and Tadcaster have attended a light aircraft crash. The pilot completed an emergency landing into a carrot field with no injuries.”
North Yorkshire Police:
“Officer have attended a report of aircraft in a field near Dunnington, York.
The pilot safely landed the aircraft after an in air emergency.
No one has been injured and the only casualties are some carrots.”
