Friends and family of missing York chef Claudia Lawrence say an external review of the police investigation is "encouraging".
The National Policing Improvement Agency assessment reveals detectives are right to focus on her "tangled relationships".
Yesterday Peter Lawrence was at the Ebor Festival in York to thank the racing fraternity for its help in publicising his daughter's disappearance.
