UB40 to perform at Castle Howard

Minster FM is excited to announce that the legendary British Reggae and Pop band UB40, will headline an outdoor concert at Castle Howard on Sunday 19th of August.

Ali Campbell, Astro & Mickey Virtue form Britain’s biggest reggae band UB40 and will be playing live at Castle Howard this summer, playing their infectious feel-good Jamaican inspired grooves.

On Sunday 19 August UB40 will play their greatest hits and new tracks from their latest album ‘A Real Labour of Love’. Over 35 years in the music business and over 70 million record sales worldwide, 13 Top 20 albums and iconic songs like Red, Red Wine, Kingston Town, One In Ten, (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You to name but a few.

Supported by Aswad and Loose Ends featuring Carl McIntosh, this will be one of the most uplifting concerts of the summer.

Where better to enjoy the relaxed sounds of reggae than on the North Front of Castle Howard, where concert-goers can stretch out on rugs and blankets and unwind as the sun goes down.

Tickets in advance Adults £39.50 (plus booking fee) and Children (5yrs to 16yrs) £20.00. On the day £47.50 (subject to availability). Booking fees apply.

Gates open at 5pm. The concerts will begin at 6.00pm and end at approx 10.00pm.

Food/Drink: This is a non-picnic event and you are not permitted to bring any food or alcoholic drink inside the concert arena. Soft drinks will be permitted into the concert arena but are restricted to 500ml per person, in a sealed bottle only.
Fully licensed bars offering a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cold beverages will be available on site. They will also have food vendors selling a varied range of dishes and hot beverages.

Please note that food and drink vendors will not be accepting card payments and due to the nature of the venue, there will be no cash point available onsite.

Seating: Seating is not provided but you are welcome to bring folding chairs and rugs. There will be a designed area for seating.

Parking: Free parking is provided on site and special provision is made for disabled parking. All parking will be signposted.
