UPDATED - Wigginton Road burst water main

One of York's commuter routes has been flooded during Wednesday's rush-hour.

Wigginton Road, near the railway crossing,  was under water after a main burst.

Yorkshire Water says they have shut off part of the supply system remotely, to prevent further flooding, and engineers were due to arrive on site at about 11.30am.

Repairs are still ongoing, however anyone that was experiencing low pressure or no water as a result should now have supplies back.
