Stamps featuring some of Coronation Street's most celebrated double acts are being released to mark 60 years on the cobbles.
Jean Alexander's niece Sonia Hearld, who lives at Burn near Selby, says her aunt would have seen it as a great honour and would have been delighted.
She spoke to Minster FM a couple of weeks ago.
Jean played Hilda Ogden and will be featured alongside screen husband Stan on one of the stamps.
Among others depicted are Weatherfield favourites such as Ken and Deirdre Barlow and Jack and Vera Duckworth - famous for their rows.
Sharp-tongued rivals Ena Sharples and Elsie Tanner are included too.
The special edition 1st and 2nd class stamps will go on sale today ( 28 May)

Sonia says Jean, who was once a regular player at York Theatre Royal, would have been very pleased to have been seen alongside actor Bernard Youens who played Stan.
She says the pair got on very well both on and off the screen.
