Family Events in North Yorkshire this May Half Term

With the May Half Term just around the corner there is so much family fun to be had across North Yorkshire!
Check out these family fun events happening that you do not want to miss...
Great British Food Festival
The Great British Food Festival at Harewood House is back for 2019! From the 25th - 27th May come along and enjoy a food festival unlike any other! There will be food tasting, chef demonstrations, an adventure playground plus free access to the gardens and grounds of Harewood House!
Throughout the weekend there will also be the chance to see over 30 birds from around the world including the rare Bali starling, flocks of charismatic parrots and the chance to feed the Humboldt penguins!

Piglets Adventure Farm
Enjoy a great day of family fun at the May-hem Circus at Piglets Adventure Farm from the 25th May - 2nd June! See jaw-dropping entertainment in the big top tent, go on tractor trailer rides and play on the bouncing pillows!
Plus, there will all be the usual farm yard fun and the chance to meet all the cute animals!

Sean Kingston at Flamingo Land
Flamingo Land's Party in the Park returns on Saturday the 25th May starring Sean Kingston! There will also be some fantastic support acts on the night including Liberty Grant, Adam Jay, GaGa's Born and much more!
This fantastic concert is not to be missed - and entry is included in your day ticket! Alternatively, you can go to the concert in the evening for just £10!

York Minster
From the 28th - 30th May between 10am - 3pm York Minster will have a fantastic range of activities for the kids to enjoy!
Budding Master Masons will have the chance to create their own version of York Minster, using Minecraft. They have a go at designing a cathedral in Lego, and decorating a cardboard Minster den. This is a great chance to let the kids imaginations run wild and have some great fun!

Stockeld Park
Come along to the Spring Adventure at Stockeld Park from the 25th May - 2nd June. Go hunting for dinosaurs in the Enchanted Forest, dig for fossils and meet the Raptor roaming the park every day!
Plus, there will be all the usual Stockeld Park fun including the fun-filled maze, go karts and inflatable area!

Traction Engine Rally at Castle Howard
The Traction Engine Rally is coming to Castle Howard from the 25th - 27th May 2019! Come along and see some fantastic performances including the Stannage International Stunt Show, featuring the flaming high fall show, exploding coffin, car jumps and trick riding to name a few.
There will also be steam engines, classic cars, vintage tractors, classic motorcycles, old time and a modern funfair. Plus, you'll get free access to the gardens and grounds at Castle Howard too!

Lightwater Valley
There is lots of family fun to be had at Lightwater Valley from the 25th May - Sunday 2nd June. Throughout the May half term there will be a UV Magic Lights ‘Outer Space’ puppet show in the Show Barn and the chance to meet lambs, chickens, alpacas and more at the Riggmoor Farm.
From the 25th - 31st May there will be daily shows from Bubble Max! You'll be amazed as he creates breathtaking bubble sculptures nd even encapsulating individuals and their entire families inside the bubbles themselves!
