Things we talked about today…
Ben spotted a car parked in town that had been graffitied! But it’s not what you think, the owner had spray painted this themselves with thank yous and kind words for all the carers and NHS! We were on the hunt to find out who this was so that they could be celebrated too, and the listeners found the person. Her name is Val from Malton! Well done Val, you hero.
Laura has been packing up her house this week ready to move, and she has realised her partner Sam is a hoarder. He wanted to keep random pieces of packaging from football shirts – yes that’s right PACKAGING. Yet when he was asked if he wanted to keep some of the sentimental engagement cards the pair had received, he said ‘chuck em’! How rude!
Joseph Rowntree Theatre in York need your help! They have started the restoration project for their roof and you can donate to the project aptly named ‘The Raise the Roof Appeal’. As part of the fundraising the volunteers from the theatre have banded together to create a charity song! The song is a cover of ‘Up on the Roof’. You can find more details on how to donate at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre website.
We are continuing to bring you the latest updates regarding Covid-19 throughout the show, a reminder that we are here for you! Any plugs you need or info to get across, please go to our website and fill out our message board – or just give us a call, especially now some of the shops are re-opening, let us know!
