Giant Leech on the loose!

Blogs > Ben Fry's Breakfast Blog > Giant Leech on the loose!

23rd July 2019

Things we talked about today…

Watch out if you’re in York this week, there is a giant Leech on the loose! The York Dungeon said that the 10 foot Leech has come for it’s revenge and you can catch the York Dungeon show at the Great Yorkshire Fringe this week in The Teapot!

As it is very sunny today, we thought our bonus round question would be, what is Laura’s favorite ice lolly. Rob got it right and won the tickets to Tears for Fears and Racing this Friday, however it opened up a can of worms and it seems we have divided North Yorkshire… According to Ben, a magnum is an ice lolly, according to Laura it is an ice cream! Go to the Facebook page to place your vote!

Thursday will be the day that Laura and Ben grace the stage of the mighty Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre! They are very excited to be part of the action in Twelfth Night and they will be playing *drum roll* THE OCEAN! Yes that’s right, they will be waving some blue flags and making wavy sea noises. Make sure you get your tickets -2.00pm Thursday.

Chances to win on air with Ben and Laura…

SCREEN STARS (6:20)

Win a pair of cinema tickets to Everyman York tickets if you can work out the movie or TV show that is acted out by Ben…It’s Guess the Character from the famous quote…

This morning it was Batman!

GAME WHEEL (7.30)

This week you could be winning tickets to Bishop Wilton Show this weekend!

Today it was Ben’s Big Jumble and Nicola won the tickets.

PANIC (8:15)

You can win £25 and a family ticket to York Dungeon if you can hold your nerve or £1,000 if the buzzer goes off!

Natasha did manage to name 5 Chocolate Bar Names and won the £25 and the Dungeon Tickets!

Ben and Laura on air weekdays from 6am.
