Things we talked about today…
Laura is back with yet another new song! This time a parody of Defying Gravity from the Hit Musical Wicked – though her version is called ‘Not Defying Lockdown’ and is all about staying at home and getting through this time together! You can check out the music video on our Facebook page… and yes, she still has green paint on her hands that she can’t get off!
At times like this, the community really rallies together to make sure everyone is being looked after. We heard from two fabulous local heroes this morning. First Ben and Laura spoke to Tracey Deacon who has set up a community food bank on her front doorstep in Acomb to help the vulnerable living in her community you can Listen Again from 7:10am. They also spoke to Andy from Ainsty Ales who has been to a local wholesaler and bought essentials for the residents of Acaster Malbis to collect via a drive through system! They don’t have any local amenities so this is really helpful , you can Listen Again from 9:10am. Thank you both!
And Mamma C is back! This time she has reviewed a ‘book’ well… no she has reviewed the magazine Take A Break, apparently she’s learnt a lot about how to flatten your curves with a long-line tunic!
We are continuing to bring you the latest updates regarding Covid-19 throughout the show, a reminder that we are here for you! Any plugs you need or info to get across, please go to our website and fill out our message board – or just give us a call!
