Things we talked about today…

Ben and Laura were out yesterday in Haxby doing Greatest Place trying to find the friendliest place in Minster Fm Land! The more flags Laura can get people to wave in 60 seconds, the higher the score. Haxby managed 7 which is brilliant! AND no-one denied the flag so they got get the 10 bonus points! Ben also awarded 0.5 a point as a listener actually waited around for a flag, commitment! 17.5 Points, this puts them firmly in to third place of the table, with Dunnington still at the top with 19!

Laura and Sam had a BBQ at the weekend in true English weather of 10 degrees. The BBQ was great, apart from Laura was a little ill from the food… and she had to clear the house out of smoke because Sam left the window open… and she had to wash the BBQ with strict instructions not to use water… so actually it wasn’t all that great. Save it for next summer is her advice!

Shrek: The Musical! Is coming to the Grand Opera House in York this Thursday until the 21st of September and today we had actual Shrek visit the studio! He told Ben and Laura all about the show, how amazing the costumes are including the huge dragon! And he gave away a family ticket with free programmes to one lucky winner! Make sure you get your tickets to see this years must-see musical!
