The Greatest Place in Minster Land!

Things we talked about today…

Ben and Laura have been doing Greatest Place trying to find the friendliest place in Minster Fm Land! The more flags Laura can get people to wave in 60 seconds, the higher the score. The Final Scores are finally in for this year, and the winner with 25 points was Selby! Well done people of Selby, we will be back with Greatest Place in 2020!

The Minster FM presenters have been challenged by Age UK York. Can they take items from an Age UK and up-cycle it into something worth more than they bought it for? Keep listening to Minster FM to find out how their projects are getting on… and if you like the sound of any of the items, then you could buy it!  Age UK York help over 5000 older people in York with the help from your donations, whether that be money or items in the shop! The Up-Cycle Challenge Is over, and the presenters have revealed their items. They are now on sale in the following Age UK York Shops – Haxby, Bishopthorpe Road, Walmgate, Burton Stone Lane and Tang Hall!

The Aesthetica Film Festival Launches in York this week, running from Wednesday 6th – Sunday 10th November, the festival sees many venues in York showing the variety of film and TV talent we have today. For tickets go to www.ASFF.co.uk.
